With summer a mere distant memory here in Majorca the only reason to get the winter blues is due to the closure of Son Julia Country House & Spa which takes place this month on the 3rd of November. We hope you enjoyed an incredible summer and as the cooler weather takes hold of this wonderful holiday destination we wanted to thank you for an incredible season and show you exactly what to look forward to during your next holiday in Majorca.
Although the beach days may not be as tempting with average temperatures between 12c and 18c, November offers a different choice of day trips and exciting activities. Why not get to know Majorca’s wild side by enjoying a number of the best hiking routes in Majorca. At our boutique hotel in Llucmajor you can easily make your way to the Sierra Tramuntana mountain range, take a walk on the wild side and embark on one of the numerous routes which truly show off another side to this paradise island.
One of the best reasons to travel has to be to experience local traditions and learn about the rich cultures and during November there is no better way to experience just this than checking out the local festivals which take place across the island. The festivals this month include Inca’s Dijous Bo which is the town’s largest celebration and involves a vast selection of stalls lining the streets selling delicious traditional food, handicrafts and even livestock. Alternatively if you are a lover of the mediterranean diet then why not check out the range of food based festivals; including Caimari olive festival and Lubi’s honey festival and wash it down with a glass or two of wine at Santa Maria’s local wine fair. So whether you are just here to enjoy the celebrations in Majorca or are eager to find the perfect souvenir for the loved ones back home, there are plenty of reasons to celebrate this month.
For all these reasons and more, it is safe to assume that Majorca is an unbeatable holiday destination at any time of the year. Sadly this month marks the closure of our 5-star Hotel and we would like to thank all those who have made this year unforgettable. Whether you have been one of our treasured guests or one of the invaluable team members, we want you to know how much we appreciate you and we look forward to seeing you all again next season. This month also brings to an end the Son Julia’s monthly blog posts. We hope that you have enjoyed reading all about our lives here in Llucmajor and hope that you continue to fall in love with our hotel experience and the island of Majorca.
Best regards from Son Julia Country House and Spa
